Do I need sports gear or a shower?
No. There's no pedalling on an eScooter, so you're not working up a sweat on the climb. Ride in what you're wearing for the day; a rain jacket takes care of wet mornings.
How steep a hill can an eScooter climb?
KuKirin states a maximum climb for each model, in degrees: up to 22° on the G2 Max, 28° on the G2 Master, 30° on the G4 and 32° on the G3 Pro. That's the brand's best case. Your weight, your bag, the battery level and the cold all bring it down, so pick a model with room to spare.
Will hills drain the battery?
Climbing uses more battery than the flat. That's why we only quote realistic range, 55% of the brand's claimed figure: about 24 miles on the G2 Max and G2 Master, 25 miles on the G4 and 27 miles on the G3 Pro. Keep some in reserve for the hill home.
Does my weight make a difference?
Yes. The max load is 120 kg, you and your bag together. The closer you are to it, the more a stronger motor or dual motors help on the climb.
Are they easy to carry?
They're built solid for climbing: our hill picks weigh 31.7 to 44 kg. They all fold to store in a hallway or a boot.
What if it needs fixing?
Every scooter comes with a 1-year parts warranty, and water damage cover is available as an add-on. If it's a tougher fix, we arrange a DPD collection and return.
