6 myths about commuting by eScooter in Ireland
The questions we hear in store every week, and the straight answers.
“It's not legal on Irish roads.”
Road-legal eScooters can use roads and cycle lanes in Ireland, up to 20 km/h, from age 18, wearing a helmet and high-vis. No tax, insurance or licence needed, and everything we sell for Irish roads is supplied to that spec.

“It's useless in Irish rain.”
Our commuter scooters are water-rated, and the LOCO Motion Pro is IPX7 waterproof. If water ever gets in, we replace it free.

“It'll get nicked.”
It folds and comes inside with you, to the office, the shop or the hallway, so it isn't left on the street. The LOCO Motion Pro also locks with your NFC card and from the app.

“It can't handle hills.”
The PURE Air 6 Pro+ climbs gradients up to 19%, and the Air 6 Ultra Max up to 36%. Pick the motor for your route, not the flat bit.

“Potholes will shake you to bits.”
The PURE Air 6 range has dual suspension front and rear with 10-inch tubeless tyres. The road's the same; the ride isn't.

“The battery won't last.”
Realistic ranges run from about 20 km to 45 km. A 7 km commute is 14 km a day, and you charge it from a normal socket overnight.
