Inspection & Quotes

We reserve the right to decline a repair at the point of check-in. There are certain scooters and bikes that we do not service, and we may refuse a repair without providing a reason. Repairs may also be declined if the item has been previously worked on elsewhere, or if it is presented with parts already removed.

Booking Deposit

A €80 non-refundable booking deposit is required for all non-warranty repairs, payable at the time of check-in or when booking a repair for a future date.

  • This deposit is credited toward your final bill

  • If you choose not to proceed with a quotation

  • If the item is deemed unrepairable or uneconomical to repair

…the €80 will be retained to cover the time spent diagnosing the issue and preparing the quotation.

In many cases, diagnosing a fault requires partial disassembly and temporarily replacing suspected components in order to confirm the issue. If you decide not to proceed after this stage, the repair must be undone, which is time-consuming and chargeable. For this reason, €80 is our minimum service fee for all non-warranty repairs (excluding punctures).

For clarity, “service” refers to all physical and administrative work involved in inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing your item.

Repair Authorisation & Quotes

We only issue a quotation where the cost of repair exceeds €120.

By checking your item into our repair centre, you are deemed to have authorised any repair work up to and including €120 without further approval. Quoting for smaller jobs significantly disrupts workshop workflow and slows overall turnaround times.

Any repair estimated to exceed €120 will be quoted in advance for approval.


Abandoned Items Policy

Once you are notified that your item is ready for collection, it must be collected within 7 days.

If the item is not collected within this timeframe:

  • Days 1–7: Transferred to off-site storage at €10 per day

  • Days 8–21: Storage fee increases to €15 per day

  • After 28 days: The item will be considered abandoned and may be disposed of at our discretion


Repair Warranty

All repairs carried out by LOCO include:

  • 12-month warranty on parts supplied

  • 30-day warranty on labour

No warranty applies to wear-and-tear items, including (but not limited to) tyres, tubes, brake pads, discs, or cables.


Warranty Repairs

If your item is under warranty, you must inform us at the time of check-in. Failure to do so may result in a repair quotation being issued.

  • Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims

  • Warranties are not transferable between owners

  • Wear-and-tear items are not covered

  • Unless the scooter is explicitly waterproof or covered by a water-damage warranty, water damage voids the warranty in full


Keys & NFC Cards

If your scooter or bike requires a key or NFC card to power on, this must be provided at check-in. We cannot accept items without the required key or card.
