Electric Scooter Puncture Repairs
Electric scooter punctures can be caused by low tyre pressure or the environment the e-scooter is being driven in. Low tyre pressure can cause the tubes to pinch against the rim if driving over a bump or turning. Glass, metal or other debris can penetrate your wheel and also puncture the tube.
Maintaining your electric scooter's tyre pressure is a good way of avoiding punctures. Below is a guide for what tubes you need and some alternatives so you can manage electric scooter punctures.

Notes from LOCO:
For best results keep your tyres pumped to 50/55 PSI (look at your tyre to find max PSI). Make sure any debris is removed from the tyre wall before putting a new tube in. Tubes can be pinched with tyre irons if not carefully used.
Tyres and tubes are also applicable for other electric scooters with 8.5-inch pneumatic tyres.

Notes from LOCO:
To fit an original G30 Max tyre you need to use an air compressor to correctly seat the new tyre on the wheel. It’s extremely difficult to do if using just a handheld pump as there’s not enough or consistent pressure to make the tyre pop into place.
Alternatively, you can put on a 10-inch honeycomb tyre. These tyres are solid rubber with a honeycomb design and do not puncture. You don’t need a compressor to install these tyres (just a good set of tyre irons and some elbow grease). It adds a slight stiffness to the ride but isn’t overly noticeable.

Notes from LOCO:
When changing a Kugoo Kirin M4 or M4 Pro electric scooter’s tyres it’s important to remember to adjust the brakes when the tyres go back on. Sometimes, a split rim makes it easier to put the tyre on. Careful not to damage the motor cabling as this is a costly repair.
